1.Location/ The vegetation of the country

Sudan appear low-rainfall savannas that consist of grasses, thorny trees, and baobab trees. Tress in Africa have long roots to reach sources of water that
are deep underground. The sturdy roots reach deep for underground water, which explains why the tree tolerates extreme drought conditions.

2. One of the oldest settlements

The Nile River played a large part in the development
of Sudan as many groups migrated to the area to reap
the benefits of its fertile soil and abundant resources.
Ruins of the ancient kingdom Kush is found at associated sites in the Nile valley. (UNESCO World Heritage site in 2003)

3. Family roots / origin

Sudan is an extremely heterogeneous country, being home to over 500 different tribes. Each tribe has its own distinctive ethnicity and many even have their own language. Such diversity has led to an eclectic and exciting culture, and when the foreign influences of Egyptian and British colonial rule are added to the mix,

it is safe to say that there is no single Sudanese culture. Many of the diverse influences can be noticed in such cultural markers as music, clothing, and cuisine.
